Spring Has Sprung

Today I decided to walk down the lane to get the mail. As was walking, and the warmer spring breeze was blowing my hair I realized just have happy I am that it is spring!
Of all the seasons Spring and Summer are my favorite. Not that I don't like Fall and Winter, there is just something about the warm sun, clear blue sky, and beautiful flowers that just lifts my soul! While I was on my stroll, I took some pictures of my surroundings and some new flowers that are pushing through ground. I hope they inspire you as much as they did me.

P.S. All these pictures were taken with Noah's ipod!

Spring Time in Paris Via Philadelphia

I'm back! Sorry about the wait. Right now I am in the midst of a blogging Class be decor8 and it has me very busy.

But to the matter at hand! Last Monday Mom and I went into Philadelphia to go to the Flower show. The theme this year was Spring Time in Paris. Both Mom and I would love to go to France, but we knew this was about the closest we would get! What a great time we had. The displays were stunning and over the top. My favorite of course was the replica of the Eiffel Tower.I must have taken 15 pictures of it or more! Another favorite was the Versailles display. The curtains were made with flowers and the furniture was beautiful! One woman who was standing next to me said that she wished she could scoop the chair up and take it home! They also had a five part display on an interpretation of the old musical "An American in Paris". It was very neat and had an interesting perspective.Mom and I also got to go out for lunch to Maggianos, which is a very nice Italian restaurant about a block from the flower show. Both of our lunches were wonderful.I got an Chicken and Pesto sandwich, and Mom got Veal Piccata with Lemon Caper sauce. For dessert Mom and I went across the street to Reading Terminal to get our favorite Cannolis. In all it was a wonderful girls day out.

Au revoir!

A Family Road Trip, Destination: Gettysburg

WARNING: This is a Very Long blog post. I can never decided how many pictures to put on so I put them all on! Well our family took a road trip on Saturday to visit the new Gettysburg's welcome Center. Since Gettysburg is only an hour and half away, it makes for a good day trip. We were under the impression that the museum and video were free. But we quickly found that not to be true when we arrived, and the sign said $10.00 per person. Well that ended our plan A. So we improvised, turning our lemons into lemonade. Billy,Ty, and Abby have never been around the battle field before so off we went on a self guided tour. Dad and Mom did a great job narrating and giving facts, and Noah and I would hop out at each stop to climb the never ending stairs! Our first stop was the tall observation tower. It must have been 3 stories tall. I thought Abby was going to be scared about half way up, but that was not the case! She was pulling ME up the stairs. At one point I didn't no if I could make it all the way. But it was well worth it, the views of the battle field were stunning. The next stop was little round top. It was neat to climb into the little Castle. Abby and Ty thought that was pretty neat. Our final stop was the Pennsylvania Memorial, which is more a building of a sort. While we were there we found a staircase that took you up to the top part of the building. Again the views were great.By the time we were done, my legs really hurt from going up and down all the stairs, but was worth it all. In all we had a great time rediscovering Gettysburg. I hope you enjoy the photos.
P.S. Thank You Noah for letting me use your ipod to take these pictures,I had so much fun!
